    PSA
Three words that need to be eliminated from the English language: like, y'know and whatever.

Jesus Tapdancing Christ, people punctuate with like and y'know and then end the sentence, if you can call it that with "...Or whatever..."

"So I was like, y'know, going to like the movie the other day, and it kinda like, y'know kinda sucked or whatever"

    Ugh. I blame the Internet.

Tremble before my mighty operating system, puny techno-peasants!

XP hates disk partitions and so it totally ate shit trying to share space with Linux. I reformatted it all with Ubuntu and where XP had a huge problem with RAID array disk installations, Linux just breezed right through it. I've successfully managed to emulate Photoshop and Office with Linux, and just for shits and giggles I built a virtual computer within my actual PC, running XP Pro cause I thought I'd need it for my Ipod but Linux manages the Ipod more efficiently than Itunes does, with drag and drop programming and two way file copying. Now I need to get my Zune running but that thing is so proprietary it barely runs as it is so I'm not hopeful. I can use the Virtual PC to run that but we'll see if its worth the hassle.
So yeah, I'm a very happy camper with the new OS. It took some doing to get it all working correctly, but now it just plain rocks. There are some really cool apps out for it too. The Linux music player integrates with Wikipedia song lyrics so you can see them on demand. It also plays in the background of the desktop with keyboard shortcuts to advance songs.
Plus it looks -really- purdy. All the fancy graphics that Vista tried to pull off were stolen from Ubuntu 8.04, where they actually work seamlessly. 3d desktops and whatnot.
Now I can look down upon Mac users with the same semi-condescending manner that they see Windows users with.

    Nerd alert!
Well, I've finally gone all Linux at home. My mess of computers are much happier now that I'm not a slave to Bill Gates and I avoided buying in to the "Mac loves you" image.

    I love Bollywood.

Especially when 80s American pop culture is viewed through an Eastern lens.

    the weekend entertainment
So there is a fire near my old house. I got called in to help people evacuate and spent Friday to Sunday up there. As you can see the fire got really close. It was crazy. I've never seen anything quite like it.
I'm not too sure about the days though. It was all kind of a blur so this is the best I could remember. It could be that it was Sunday afternoon/Monday. I dunno.
    This was Saturday afternoon.

Sunday night/Monday morning was the worst of it. This was around 3

Sorry about the blurry photos. It was hard to photograph with my little snapshot camera. However, I feel that they convey the general mood quite well.

This was early Monday morning, probably around 6
It started coming down that ridge towards the houses.

See, crazy I tell you! Its not out yet but things are under control. The evacuation order was lifted this afternoon. Not much sleep and I am filthy. I don't know if I've ever been this dirty before. Cool.

So one of the advantages do doing some art for a hip European clothing company is that when one wants a one piece blue velour jumpsuit, one gets a one piece blue velour jumpsuit.
From the bedroom to the club, I'm covered with just one article of clothing!

Welcome to the Internet my friend!
Woah, my apartment is visible on Google Maps Street view. Check out 159 W. Green st, 91105
Mine is the top balcony, on the left. If you look closely, you can see my plants! My office window is the one with the crooked shade.
Its not a recent photo, cause the building across the street was torn down about 6 months ago.

So I joined Barack Obamas email list in the hopes of becoming more politically involved in my area, figuring it'll help me connect with other like minded Angelenos. Alas no, all he does is hit me up for money. Its a little annoying, I gotta say.

Well these are my pimping boots and they're being put in the closet permanently.

Sorry ladies, as of the new year, I am off the market. I proposed to my lovely fiancee Sarah, whom some of you have met, some of you have not, and she said yes, so its on.
